Humphree’s Stabilization Systems
Humphree’s stabilization systems, including fins and interceptors, are used on both Steeler Yachts’ steel and aluminum vessels. The systems are designed to provide effective stabilization under a wide range of operating conditions.
Interceptors are standard equipment on Steeler’s aluminum yachts. They help optimize the vessel’s trim, improve onboard comfort, and enhance overall handling and performance.
Performance Demonstrated During Atlantic Crossings
The effectiveness of these systems was clearly demonstrated in 2025, when two Steeler yachts successfully completed Atlantic crossings.
One particularly memorable example involved a customer crossing from Cape Verde to Barbados. Despite encountering waves of up to six metres, the yacht remained remarkably stable and comfortable throughout the voyage. According to the customer, only one bottle of wine fell during the entire crossing.
